Parallel Selves: The many ‘You’s That Exist Simultaneously

 

Aah! The mankind’s creed to chase unique individuality and the oxymoronic reality! Why? Because of multiple theories that say otherwise!

Doppelgangers, so called choices, multiverses, mirrored reality, world being a giant singularity, twin souls, humanity’s expansion – so many perspectives to look at it! Intrigued much? Let’s dive in one by one!

 

Fate v/ choice: in the spectrum of multiverses

I would like to begin with my favorite concept of multiverses. So, our ancient texts say that destiny is pre-written and that each individual does exactly what he has signed the contract of before taking birth.

In direct contrast lands the philosophy of free-will that proclaims that at each point of life we are given a choice and it is our choices that determine our life.

I will say, both are correct. Thanks to the theory of Multiverses and parallel universes. So, the soul still does what it has taken birth for in one dimension. However, the consciousness takes its awareness to the chosen choice and hence lives in the illusion of that becoming its reality.

Same like ‘Butterfly effect’. So, maybe one’s life took a 180-degree shift from that point but all other angles still existed. And the theory of physics proclaims that when we choose a Yes then though it becomes our direct reality; yet all other choices like No, Maybe, frequently, occasionally etc. also coexist. Just not to our awareness.

So, the ‘you’ who decided to get married at a young age instead of pursuing your dreams is one dimension. But in some other dimension you actually do pursue your dream and in another you instead followed a regular job… and all these ‘You’ coexist just not to your awareness. Your reality becomes your choice. And that destined still exists in the larger timeline.

 

Doppelgangers

 

It is said that each individual has at least seven look alikes in the world who share not just appearances but also likes and dislikes, even hobbies.

There have been evidences where fate or destiny actually made two or three doppelgangers somehow meet up and they not only shared the aforesaid but also other shocking similarities like number and gender of other family members in their respective families, pets, kind of pets, injuries, birth marks and what not!

Can one really be an individual in that case? We may not have met with our doppelgangers but they exist somewhere and share so much of our essence.

Makes one think, are we really naturally born or are we but clones artificially propagated to serve some larger purpose – strategically spread around in the seven continents – fighting our very own battles yet who knows being judged or valued or cultivated for what purpose! Maybe, there isn’t really a purpose. Maybe there is! But the fact remains that we are not as unique as we would like to believe.

 

Mirrored reality

 

Spirituality has various theories proclaiming that nothing that we see around is actually real. That, whatever we see outside is actually a reflection of inside. And that each being that we meet with is actually a mirror image of our inner evolution.

People can mirror qualities we like or dislike, traumas to heal, inner conflicts reflected around in wars or arguments and so on. But they all are either a lesson or a learning.

But, if we all are rather mirrors in each other’s growth or evolution then what makes us individual? Are we not permutations and combinations of the same qualities being recycled through ages and mirrored through timelines and beings and causes and repercussion. We feel that our voice or act is unique, but the very language is adopted, each emotion is borrowed and every element is recycled.

We all are in a way the food and poop of each other. May it be biologically or spiritually or psychologically and for sure identically! Admiring and being admired, judging and being judged for!

 

World being a singularity

 

And then there is this theory that we are but collective consciousness. That world is a singularity and we all are a part of it.

That it is Aadi-shakti or Energy or Maaya or Illusion living itself evolving, playing games, creating puzzles and becoming a better self.

That each individual has an entire universe within but the entire universe contains each and every being.

The Micro and Macro be but perspectives. The process be the same at each level – evolution! If we be collective even then over all we become but one entity – dissolving all ego related to individuality. And if it ‘I’ experiencing ‘I’, then there is no  ‘You’ and no ‘they’ and it all all ‘I’ or all ‘You’ and again the concept of multiple unique selves get dissolved.

Yet, I in my awareness is so different from ‘you’ in awareness or someone in some other continent, or an animal or an insect. There are indeed many Is or many ‘You’ but each looks different, experiences differently, feels as an individual yet is but one. It’s mindboggling to consider!

 

Twin Souls

 

Theory of Twin flames states that a soul after experiencing life for many births, decides to split into two – to explore life through various approaches. Like both the souls would be given the same kind of issues but their way of handling those issues would be entirely opposite. Many a times they be male and female who later look for each other – only to meet up, exchange lessons or learnings or love or feel complete and then split up to continue evolving until both reach the same wave length or both have finally cracked what they had decided to figure out.

Hence, people on twin-flames journeys often struggle so much. As the other person is but a part of their own self – however they have no control over that person. And many a times the spiritual journeys or levels be so different that despite of intense connection or love or remembrance; they fail to really be one for many births.

Come to think of it, one half of your soul is out there living as another gender, another body, another family, another city/country/name/identity/principles/life!

If you are not even complete as a soul, how can you become a unique complete identity.

But that’s the beauty of it. Emotionally, you may feel incomplete, but soul is like ice. Its properties remain the same despite of fragmenting it. Or it’s like perfume the fragrance or smell of which remains the same regardless if it a full bottle or half.

Still, it is indeed bewildering to imagine a part of your self – living entirely another life!

 

Humanity’s expansion

 

And it’s not just twin souls! Science and spirituality both prove that we are but fragments of the initial few souls. Just like Big bang, we too have our own soul fragmentations to continuously evolve into more life-forms.

As such, initially there were but two humans that were formed – regardless we take science, religion, history or spirituality for reference. So, we all must be but by-products of the same two souls. And true, the world underwent massive destruction and recreation so many times. But the number of souls along with population only increased. Surely, they had to be formed out of the original souls. In a way, we all are fragments of the initial energies – though still the same in the larger context – yet believing ourselves to be separate entities in our limited mindsets.

There be also theories that proclaim that many humans in our world are now carrying souls of beings from other constellations – so as to help us evolve – the authenticity of that theory is though not proven – yet that’s the case with most of the energy or soul level things! So, possible that many souls migrated to our planet for some purpose or they actually had come right from the beginning instead of any two souls getting biologically evolved – but whatever be the case – the ever-expanding population on earth couldn’t have been created by aliens or such! It is humans recreating at an alarming rate. Surely, more and more souls must be getting fragmented.

 

These are all but theories – many proven, many not, yet one thing is the same in them all – that there is no one unique individual separate from it all. Either we all are connected, or we are indeed one or if we are rather programmed or propagated then too, there is no one uniquely himself or herself!

Hinduism has theories carrying multiple dimensions each with a replica of trinity – say Bhramma, Vishnu and Mahesh with demi Gods and such – but in their own universes.

Maybe, we too are but multiverses being our own Bhrahmma, Vishnu and Mahesh – creating, evolving, regenerating… Or maybe we all are but dots in this one universe – contributing to its evolution.

Maybe, we are indeed cultivated to be our own breed. Maybe, we are twins figuring out emotional or energetic complexities.

Purpose of life is so unknown. Life and Death is again beyond comprehension.

And any illusion of individuality therefore is such a limited version in a world of multiple dimensions!
