Story of a firefly

There in a meadow I caught a firefly
Struggling hard it tried to fly
I wanted it to fly and fly more
I even showed it an open door
but the insect was blindfolded I guess
it kept on banging its head in mess
the tube light was what it wanted
moony-lightbeams simply flaunted
its fight, struggle and failures
its determination and will’s flurrs
it kept on trying and trying
Dreaming of that one moment of end of worrying
its wry ended for sure
with its life it attained its cure
it lost its life along with its entity
maybe it reached its desired city
but utopia has faith and dreams
most are unreal, mind’s fatal streams
so all i saw was its dead body
and a posture of bravery in prosody
but the final expression was strain
it included everything vain
the time wasted and things admired
that eternal struggle and end all fired
all its faith, labor flights in ashes
it failed to cause even minor rashes
but it gained injuries too hard
to make it stronger but still no bard
it got struck and died in that closet itself
in that suffocating but attractive shelf
the advertisement was miles apart from reality
it took its life to understand its duality.
