Homecity!

Reflectors shine upon the running road

Taking me to the lanes of nostalgia

Home city seems near and far simultaneously

Closer I reach, farther I feel

For I can't grasp the idea of change

The absence of loved ones

The desire to be held strong

By my own clan

The free ones!

Those that were not family

But more than that.

Those that were once

More than life.

Home city wasn't just about having a home

It was about belonging

To a society full of loved ones.

Friends to laugh with

Lovers to feel loved with

Well wishers to guide me through.

Even those who had right to scold me through

Ups and downs of life.

People who were happy and sad along with my ride.

Energies that were together upon my slide!

As I reach closer to my home city.

I fail to feel any of those cherished feelings

None to really embrace me and tap upon my shoulder and say a simple 'I missed you'.

For the time has changed.

So have the characters.

We have all changed our base points

Along with it even connections.

Past seems like a story

Felt in gentle reminders of this breeze

As peripheries of my eyes wonder

When did the swell dry up

When did the books switch?

For here only the protagonist peeps through an empty window pane

White reflectors upon dark roads

Unnamed!
